Pashupatinath Temple

Swayambhunath Stupa

Locally known as the Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa is the oldest of its kind in the country and is home to numerous shrines within the complex. The main stupa, washed in white & gold, with a golden spire, and Buddha’s eyes painted on all sides, is visible from all parts of the valley.

This neo-classical garden, built in the 1920s, is a delightful space away from the hustle-bustle of Kathmandu. Meandering pathways lined with flowers & hedges, ponds & fountains, six pavilions characterizing various seasons, and elegant detailing make this garden a perfect place for a day in the sun.
